Where Does the Dust Itself Collect? by Xu Bing

This installation piece was created using dust which was collected from the aftermath of September 11 in an attempt to comprehend and understand the implications the tragic event had. The words which can be seen are taken from a Zed Buddhist poem:

The Bodhi (True Wisdom) is not like the tree; 
The mirror bright is nowhere shining;
As there is nothing from the first,
Where does the dust itself collect?
